I enjoy:

• Improving your linting, typechecking and code quality setup (think RuboCop, Sorbet, and friends). One of my favourite things is the iterative process of finding the edge cases of a new linting rule for a code pattern that could be improved.
• Untangling and deleting old code that no longer serves a purpose, using tools like the git pickaxe.
• Doing the "boring" but critical stuff like dependency upgrades to enable your engineers to focus with precision and consistency on what they know best: feature development.
